Awards . . . Part I

I want to thank Christine Danek of Christine's Journey and Lindsey Brooks of Dangerous With A Pen for the lovely Soulmate awards. These gifted writers are two of my best buddies! Both are witty, hilarious and kind. Click over and get to know them. The remarkable Christi at A Torch in the Tempest created this beautiful award. It's one of my favorites! Visit her today and see why she's so special.

I'd like to think we are all friends as well as compatriots in the writing trenches. Here are some wonderful, kindred spirits that I've met since joining blogger. Read one of their excellent posts and you'll feel like they're your closest chums. According to the rules of this award, I'm supposed to fabricate some outlandish story about each recipient. All right. I can do that. Here goes . . .

Kazzy @Kazzy's Ponderings Kazzy is so tidy she irons her manuscripts before submitting them.

Talli @ Talli Roland Talli actually dislikes coffee intensely. Instead, she has Diet Coke with lime in her cute little mug set. She thought the rising steam would fool us, but we're on to her now.

Old Kitty @ Ten Lives And Second Chances Old Kitty is Daniel Craig's publicist. (Can I get a signed 8X10 photograph?)

Bossy Betty @ Bossy Betty is a skydiving instructor for agoraphobic writers. If anyone can get them out of the house, Betty can!

Kimberly @ Kimberly Franklin has gone to Office Supply Store Nerds Anonymous for her Office Depot dependancy.

E.Elle @ The Writer's Funhouse likes to wear Groucho Marx glasses when she's brainstorming plot lines.

Sorry, ladies, but awards happen. Blame yourselves for being so likable!

Tomorrow's post is: Awards . . . Part Deux

  1. Cool stories. That was one of my favorite awards because I got to create a double life for some awesome people.

    Have a good evening Roxy.

  2. I like your descriptions! Congrats on the award!

  3. LOL! Thanks Roxy... you gave me a giggle! Congrats on your award!! :)

  4. That's a unique twist on an award! Funny. Congrats.

  5. Love the skydiving instructor for agoraphobics! Nearly spit my Diet Coke all over my laptop screen.

I think I jinxed myself the other day when I told you I didn't have any problems with my oldest daughter. She was giving off MAJOR attitude this morning. Why? Because I (gasp) asked her to deliver the check for their lunch account (all kids share a central account) to the office. She refused so vehemently, she got herself grounded.

    Sigh. Let the fun begin!

  6. Miss you!!! Stopped by to say hello, shouting out from my unpluggedness. Should be back next week. Can't wait to get back in the swing!

  7. Thank you so much! I am a complete slob when it comes to awards, but I'd love to give you some skydiving lessons!

  8. Thanks for the shout out, Roxy! And congrats to you. :)

  9. That was funny, especially the groucho max glasses, lol.

  10. Hi

Awwww thank you thank you thank you! I love awards so thank you so much - Yay!!!!

And yes of course you can have the delectable Dan's autograph, of course! I'll just peel one off the many I've plastered all over my window next to my court injuction to stop following Mr Craig. Oh he does like playing hard to get, the silly man!

    Take care

  11. Loved the fabrications and a beautiful award!

  12. These are too fun, Roxy. Well done. And lest I forget: Congratulations!

  13. Aww! Thank you!

And now I want to buy a pair of Groucho Marx glasses....

  14. Roxy I've just read your letter to your agent, it was the sweetest thing -so heartfeltly humourous. Thank you for posting - I may be late to read it but it has made my day.

  15. Congrats on your award. Kimberly Franklin's Office Depot post was great!

  16. Wahaha! I think not, Roxy! Oh, you know how wrong that is. I would never ever dream of replacing my beloved coffee with *Diet Coke*!

Thank you so much for the wonderful award!

  17. Thanks, everybody. You must know how much I love your comments. They make me so happy!
